VisualizeJS has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no backend database. It does not set cookies. This page lists everything the site stores or measures.
What stays in your browser
A few settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them between visits: which topics you have completed, whether you prefer the simple or the detailed explanations, whether you have seen the intro tour, and any code you typed into a sandbox topic.
This data never leaves your device. The site has no server that could receive it. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data for visualizejs.com in your browser settings.
Code you type into a sandbox
Sandbox topics read your code in the browser to drive the animation. The code is analyzed, not executed, and it is not uploaded anywhere.
Analytics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance. They do not use cookies and do not identify you across sites or across days. They record things like the page visited, the referring site, the country, the browser and operating system, and page speed measurements.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical data needed to deliver a page, such as your IP address and browser user agent, under its own privacy policy.
Links to other sites, such as MDN, GitHub, or LinkedIn, are covered by those sites' own policies once you follow them.
Changes and questions
If what the site collects changes, this page will be updated first. Every edit is visible in the repository history. Questions about privacy can go through the contact page.
